With all the potholes on Prospect I am amazed anyone was able to go fast enough to hit someone.

We don't know if the driver crossed the center line and hit the pedestrian while driving on the wrong side of the road. A lot of drivers, when drunk, will flee the scene. And sometimes when not drunk. Both happen all too often.

Paul, we do learn about drunk walking, and since it's from the people at Freakonomics, it's entertaining. http://goo.gl/zHlI1

I drive around there a lot. And of course the fault is with the driver, but lots of people just cross in the middle of the road. They never use the sidewalks. The driver should have stayed and I am glad the pedestrian only suffered minor injuries. But isn't the law that if a pedestrian fails to use a crosswalk they must yield to the car? I hope they find the owner of the car. I hope they pays for all medical bills. I hope we find out more information. I am not saying that this pedestrian DID NOT use a crosswalk. I was just asking.

Parking lots are perfect examples, most folks do walk near the park cars but a few just walk right down the middle of the traffic lanes. One lady at my near by Target store was walking with her little boy that way..ok, I wait and watch but then the little kid felled down cause she was not holding on to him and I guess he was too young to walk by himself. Well they got a horn blast at them, if the parents can't teach the kid how to walk in a parking lot, us other drivers should warn the child....I got a dirty look by another lady...oh well. They didn't seem to care about anybody else but when others act like they do, lol

Yes, you must be careful to whom you assign blame, because in all accidents one person is 100% wrong and the other is totally blameless.

In a " hit and run " the person who hits and runs is at fault. No citation was issued because the perpetrator left the scene.

I wish her a speedy recovery. Is there no information yet regarding who was at fault and/or citations issued?
