Police: Man was 'dramatically impaired' before crash in Ypsilanti Township

By Cindy Heflin

Washtenaw County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man believed to be high on drugs after a crash in Ypsilanti Township Saturday evening.

Deputies who went to the area of East Michigan Avenue and Allen Street in Ypsilanti Township to investigate a two-car crash at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday determined one of the drivers, a 30-year-old Ypsilanti resident, was “dramatically impaired,” according to a media summary.

Deputies found no indication the man had been drinking, but he told them he had taken numerous pills. The quantity and type was undetermined, the summary said.

The man was taken to a hospital, where blood was drawn for analysis. The police report will be sent to the prosecutor’s office for possible charges.

No one was injured in the crash.

Prescription drugs are and have been the gateway to serious hard core physical addiction since Cannabis Prohibition was foisted on this country in the 1930's and then reinforced with The Great Lie, The Controlled Substances Act of 1972. If you want to see more of mayhem as referred to in this article then oppose the reintegration of Cannabis into the Pharmacopoeia. CANNABIS CURES ADDICTIONS

Yes Cannabis is regularly prescribed in the EU for opiate addictions etc..It will not happen here anytime soon as WE have to live with the LIE that cannabis has no medical value...

"CANNABIS CURES ADDICTIONS" Really? Do the rehab centers know about this, I have yet to hear about a rehab center using cannabis. Do they not care? Or are you trying to trick us?

Where else but Michigan Ave? From Riley Court westbound (to paraphrase Arlo Guthrie's lyrics in Alice's Restaurant): You can get anything you want on Michigan Avenue You can get anything you want on Michigan Avenue Walk right up, it isn't even 'round the back Just a couple hundred feet from the railroad track You can get anything you want on Michigan Avenue.

"Where else but Michigan Ave? " Any high school, college campus, quite a few offices and/or factories, actually about 16-20% of all US households.

Glad to hear no one was injured, but guessing the results are the same whether drinking or on drugs. It's the life style of many and not a good thing. (they are an accident looking for a place to happen) and it happened on Michigan Ave.
