Several thefts from buildings and vehicles reported in Ypsilanti
Several thefts from buildings and vehicles were reported in Ypsilanti between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday
• Numerous college class rings were reported stolen from a display case at a building in the 700 block of West Cross at 11:25 a.m., a media summary from the Ypsilanti Police Department said.
• Rent checks were taken from a drop box in the 100 block of South Grove Street and cashed. The checks were reported stolen at 11:15 a.m.
• Purses were stolen from two vehicles. In the first incident, the thief broke out a window and stole a purse in the 200 block of West Cross. The theft was reported at 11 a.m. In the other case, a thief stole a purse from an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of South Grove Street. That theft was reported at 12:55 p.m.
No dollar value for any of the losses was available.
