Shotguns, rifle stolen in Ypsilanti Township house burglary

Three shotguns and a rifle were among items stolen in a burglary Thursday in the 1300 block of Laurel Avenue in Ypsilanti Township, the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Entry was gained through the kitchen window. The burglary was reported at about 4:30 p.m. and police have no suspects.

Unfortunately, this how many criminals get their weapons.From irresponsible gun owners who fail to secure/lock their guns. Lockable metal gun cabinets are readily available that can be secured similar to a safe.ITS JUST PLAIN STUPID TO NOT SECURE YOUR WEAPONS!! (any questions?) And no, I am not a gun owner.

More Guns in the hands of criminals, Drug addicts, and or gang members. They have enough fire power to move up to home invasions, and armed robberies. Lets hope the police recover these guns before they are ready for the next crime.
