SolarYpsi tour expands to 8 stops in its second year

The solar panels at the Corner Brewery will be on display during the Solar Ypsi tour.

Ypsilanti's expanded second annual SolarYpsi tour is in the national spotlight again, according to the Ypsilanti Courier.

SolarYpsi.org is hosting the Solar Tour, which features eight stops in the city, and will take place 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 6 and is part of the National Solar Tour.

Dave Strenski, founder of SolarYpsi, told the Courier the goal of the event is to teach individuals about solar installations.

The following locations will be shown in the tour:

  • 312 N. River St., Ypsilanti, Ypsi Food Co-op 1
  • 1 S. Huron St., Ypsilanti, Ypsi City Hall
  • 312 N. River St., Ypsilanti, River Street Bakery
  • 503 E. Oak St., Ypsilanti, Adams School
  • 720 Norris St., Ypsilanti, Corner Brewery
  • 600 Market Place, Ypsilanti, Frog Island Park
  • 312 N. River St., Ypsilanti, Ypsi Food Coop 2
  • 403 Huron St., Ypsilanti, Krzyzanski Apartments A,B and C
  • 6232 Munger Road, Ypsilanti, Graf Residence
  • 2114 Windmill Way, Saline, Bredernitz Residence
