Residents will vote on whether to combine the two struggling school districts on Nov. 6.

The WISD has set a Nov. 1 deadline for applicants interested in pursuing a board of education seat within the proposed new district. Applicants must provide a resume, statement of interest and three to five letters of recommendation, according to the Courier.

If voters approve the consolidation, the separate boards of education would be disbanded and a WISD-appointed school board would be put into effect.

According to the story, applications can be submitted the WISD superintendent's office: 1819 South Wagner Road, P.O. Box 1406, Ann Arbor, MI 48106.
