Woman facing possible charges after pouring bleach on ex's doorway

By Kyle Feldscher

A 35-year-old Ypsilanti Township woman may need to clean up her act after pouring bleach on the doorway of her ex-boyfriend when she heard he was living with another woman.

Ypsilanti police reported the 34-year-old man told his ex-girlfriend he was living with a new roommate, who is a woman. The news so infuriated the ex that she drove to the home in the 600 block of Washtenaw Avenue to confront him.

When she arrived, the woman shoved the man and poured bleach in the doorway, according to police. She then left the scene prior to police showing up at the house.

Police responded to the home at 4:13 a.m. Tuesday.

According to investigators, the case was turned over to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday for potential charges.

Investigators also said they don't know why bleach was the woman's weapon of choice.

What a waste of police time and public money. This is not a real crime, don't waste my tax money investigating or prosecuting it.

There is a Nation wide campaign about stopping violence against women, Why don't we have one to stop women from doing violence to men? I would like equal rights! Equal rights are not just for women, Gays, Minorities etc!

Whew, I thought Pine Sol on the driveway was bad. This flash cleansing thing is getting out of hand. I woke up the other day to find just the cap of a can of Pledge under my sheets (Godfather reference). Imagine my horror!

Where I come from, helping to clean a new home is a traditional "House Warming" gift. I would have directed her to the bathrooms though...rather than the front door. My bathrooms are always in need of a good bleaching.

If she mixed bleach with ammonia, I'd understand... but why just bleach?

Possibly a metaphor for him to clean up his act!
