Ypsilanti police investigate shooting on West Michigan Avenue

A 19-year-old Ypsilanti Township man suffered a minor gunshot wound to the head Wednesday night in the 900 block of West Michigan Avenue in Ypsilanti after suspects fired at his car, police said.

The victim is in stable condition at a local hospital, police said.

Ypsilanti police received a call reporting shots fired in the area about 11:25 p.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, police were unable to locate any people or evidence.

But they later received information that the Ypsilanti Township man was at a the hospital with a minor gunshot wound to the top of his head, police said in a press release.

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting and the suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall man who was dressed in all black and was wearing a black scarf that was covering half of his face.

They should find him any minute with a description like this: Police are continuing to investigate the shooting and the suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall man who was dressed in all black and was wearing a black scart that was covering half of his face. What is a "scart"? Is that a scarf or a scar? Or as the Grinch would say a Scart scar scarf! Nice police work.
