Thieves break into Ypsilanti Township liquor store, swipe cigarettes
The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at the Harvest Liquor Store in Ypsilanti Township, where intruders stole a large amount of cigarettes Sunday morning.
Deputies went to the store, at 1645 Holmes Road, at 5:45 a.m. Sunday after an alarm went off at the business, according to a release from the sheriff's office.
The intruders forced open the front doors and took a large number of cigarettes stolen before fleeing the area, deputies said.
Deputies released no suspect information Monday morning.

Keep on making cigarettes more costly by taxing them. Break ins and thefts will just increase.

Break into a liquor store and steal....cigarettes? And, let all that good liquor just sit there? I'm not condoning robbery at all. But cigarettes? Over booze? Oy. People confuse me.
