New Month Resolutions - a cool new way to meet your goals
Let's face it, new year's resolutions have the sticking power of tape on fabric. It's not that the intentions aren't heartfelt. It's not that the desire is lacking. It's not a lack of willpower or focus. It's because the end goal is often too far away.
When we set a new year's resolution to lose weight, for example, we often don't pin down a workable time frame. Amorphous time frames are change derailers. For instance, you might say this year I am going to increase sales by 20 percent or lose 20 pounds or exercise more or finish a particular house or work project. These are all great goals, but how are you really going to make that happen?
So, here is the cool new way to meet your goals:

It's not necessary to wait until January 1, 2011, to resolve to stay the steady course. So, when that voice in your head says, "See, it's the middle of January and you already blew your new year's resolution. So why bother?", tell it to take a hike, leave town, go away and reset your new month resolution. It's never too late for a restart!
