Grand Champion Foxcliffe Hickory Wind, a 5 year-old Scottish Deerhound spends her days on a farm in Flint, Va., but this country girl went to the city and showed them how it's done. Her owner, Sally Sweatt of Minneapolis, and breeders, Cecilia and Robert Dove, couldn't be more proud.

Hickory, as she is better known, took tops in the prestigious Westminster Dog Show in New York City this week.

"Best in Show,"  the competition's highest honor, is the most recent accolade to be awarded to the pooch, who has also won 14 "Best In Show" titles as a top-ranked canine in her breed for the last three years.

Hickory’s handler, Angela Lloyd said, “She went in there tonight, and she showed like she’s never shown before. The breed is very sensitive to their surroundings, and this is quite an extreme experience for a dog who lives on a farm and chases deer and squirrels daily.”

The coveted award is a first for the breed, which makes winning it even more sweet. Known for their speed, grace and size, the Scottish Deerhound stays true to their name and loves to chase and hunt.
