Consider adoption a dog only if you are prepared for the commitment.

I was looking through my weekly Meetup calendar this morning and noticed a free event that dog lovers might be interested in. It is called the Ann Arbor Pet Fest. It is focused on adopting dogs. Local Ann Arbor area dog service providers and rescue agencies will be on hand displaying their businesses.

Here is the information I found:

Mark your calendars for Pet Fest!

When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday Admission: Free; parking $2 Benefiting: Local nonprofit rescue groups

Where: The Pet Emporium 4940 Ann Arbor-Saline Road Ann Arbor, MI

Pet Fest is the largest pet festival in southeast Michigan. Pet Fest is dedicated to helping local rescue groups find homes for their foster pets, as well as, supporting our local artisans, service providers and vendors. Our goal is to have a large, diverse group of rescues and shelters, demonstrators and exhibitors to make our festival unique and fun for all.

One more thing. I found this listing on a website called BringFido. You can list your dog-related events on this website for free. Their dog friendly event bulletin board is free and they also promote dog friendly hotels.
