Marie is an affectionate lap cat waiting for her forever family to adopt her

Meet Marie, a gentle and sociable 7-year-old gray Domestic Shorthair cat that is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Huron Valley. Miss Marie is a true charmer and hops right down off her perch to say hello whenever staff or volunteers come to give her a good cheek scratch. She is a true sweetheart and is calm and affectionate when you pet her.

Marie is going to make her forever family very happy as long as they have a warm place for her to nap and maybe some yummy cat treats too. While Marie could likely do well in a busy or quiet home, she did think the doggie in her previous life was a bit scary for her taste, so she requests a forever family who are cat lovers with no desire for a canine buddy.

If you are looking for a gentle cat to warm you up these cold winter days and night, then please come meet Marie today. Our current cat adoption fee is only $35, and all the cats have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, medically and behaviorally evaluated and they have a microchip I.D. in case you are ever separated from your new pet.

HSHV is open daily at 11 a.m. for adoptions. All pets available for adoption are spayed/neutered, up to date on their vaccinations, medically and behaviorally evaluated, and they have a microchip ID all included in their low adoption fee. Please make adoption your first option.

The Humane Society of Huron Valley, located in Ann Arbor, was awarded the “Best Large Animal Shelter in Michigan” by the Michigan Pet Fund Alliance, for the second time in a row this year, for saving the most lives.
