Friday Pet Blogging: A child's vantage point

By Lorrie Shaw

Pets and kids seem to go hand-in-hand, don't they? I'm quite certain that my first word was "dog."

"The dog was created specially for children. He is the god of frolic."
-Henry Ward Beecher

Each week, we publish a new slideshow of freshly picked pet photos. In this weeks' Friday Pet Blogging feature, we thought we would include some photos of our readers' pets taken by children.

Click on the slideshow below to view the photos and captions for each.

Would you like to see your pet in an upcoming Friday Pet Blogging feature? It's easy! Simply e-mail a new photo of your pet, whether they be furry, feathered or otherwise, anytime during the week to pets@annarbor.com. Be sure the photo is at least 600 pixels wide, in .jpg format - and don't forget to include the animal's name, age and city or township of residence in your e-mail.

We compile each week's photos into a slideshow, which we publish on Fridays here in the Pets section, so check back each week to see a new gallery.

I love it- kids do have a different perspective. I love that one of them sent in a photo of their dogs snarling and play fighting.
