These days, it's so easy to catch quick photos of our pets. Digital cameras and smartphones with high quality camera capability make it a cinch to capture great images.

Photographing animals is a favorite past time of many people, including our readers. Seeing new faces each week is a delight, and, best of all, the submissions each week are always a surprise.

We have some fun photos to share this week — including a beach-loving dog and a wide-eyed cat that isn't fond of baths — on Pet Photo Friday, our weekly photo blog.

Please include the animal's name, age, and city or township of residence in your email. Be sure that your photos are 600 pixels wide and in .jpg format.

We put the week's photos into a slideshow, publish and promote each Friday here in the Pets section.
