Rocky and Bulllwinkle, Chip and Dale, Donald and Daisy — hearing those names, it just wouldn't seem right seeing one without the other, would it?

Our readers can totally relate when it comes to their pets. Last week, we mentioned that we would be presenting a photo blog of local readers' pets under the theme "unlikely pet buddies," and, as you'll see in this weeks' Friday Pet Photo slideshow, the response was vigorous!

You'll see examples of just how close some of our readers' pet truly are when you browse through the photos. Several of the pairs are composed of cats and large-breed dogs. What is interesting is that, by and large, they've been together from a very young age and have forged incredibly close bonds.

Be sure to include the name of the companion animal, as well as their age and city or township of residence in your email. Photos should be 600 pixels wide and in .jpg format.
