Meet a cat that will leap into your lap in a single bound - the AnnArbor.com pet of the week, Clark Kent

Clark Kent is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Huron Valley.

Affectionate Clark Kent might not be faster than a speeding bullet but his purr is louder than a locomotive. This 2-year-old gray and white cat came to the Humane Society of Huron Valley with an injury to his jaw, consistent with being hit by something, or potentially kicked. His severely broken jaw required surgery.

Clark has healed completely and is a superhero in disguise who will leap into your lap in a single bound. For as much pain as he was in, he has always been a gentle cat who enjoys playing with furry mice.

He spent some time healing in an HSHV foster home and was always sweet and very friendly. He may get along with other pets with a proper introduction and time to settle-in. His foster mom gives him rave reviews and told us Clark Kent is a cat star.

This superman of a cat deserves a caring family who will love him and enjoy his blissful spirit. Maybe you will fall in love with him as we have.

HSHV is open daily at 11 a.m. for adoptions. All pets available for adoption are spayed/neutered, up to date on their vaccinations, medically and behaviorally evaluated, and they have a microchip ID all included in their low adoption fee. Please make adoption your first option.

The Humane Society of Huron Valley, located in Ann Arbor, was awarded the “Best Large Animal Shelter in Michigan" by the Michigan Pet Fund Alliance, for the second time in a row this year, for saving the most lives. HSHV is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and relies solely on donations from businesses and individuals to support our community programs.

HSHV is not affiliated with the Michigan Humane Society or any other humane organization. The mission of HSHV is to promote responsible and compassionate care of all animals in our community. Please like us on Facebook!

This must be a new trend with pets. My rescued part chow, part corgi will leap into my lap with a single bound also. Unfortunately, he weighs 38 pounds.
