Jezabel likes to play with other dogs and is seen here playing with her friend Walter, a special needs dog who lost his front leg. Jezabel is gentle with Walter and seems to understand that she needs to play easy with him.

Jezabel is a wonderful dog who originally came to the Humane Society of Huron Valley on the PetSmart Charities Rescue Waggin' Program. She is an Australian Cattle Dog mix who is only 11 months old. Besides being as cute as a button, she is also a wonderful companion. The volunteers at HSHV rave about how playful and friendly she is and they all like to walk her because she has learned to walk well on her leash.

Jezabel went into a special training program back in November and graduated with her Basic Manners certificate in December. She learned a lot as part of the MiPaws program, which partnered shelter dogs with women inmates at the Huron Valley Women's Correctional Facility. Jezabel lived with her trainer 24/7 for 10 weeks and was an exceptional learner.

Jezabel has been waiting for a new family to come and find her. Most of the other dogs that graduated when she did have found homes already. Maybe someone will read this and come to play with Jezabel this week. That would make her very happy indeed. If you are looking for a playful, smart and affectionate dog, Jezabel is waiting for you!

HSHV is open daily from noon to 6 p.m. for adoptions. The Humane Society of Huron Valley has a full service, low-cost veterinary clinic that is open to the public.
