Queenie is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Huron Valley

This affectionate tuxedo kitty is Queenie, who is 7 years young.

Her first family member didn’t have time for her, and from there Queenie was moved around to many other families members until she finally came to the Humane Society of Huron Valley. We’ve come to love this beautiful girl and are hopeful that her forever family is just around the corner and that she will soon be a home of her very own. Right now we have a flexible adoption fee, so for as little as $35, Queenie can be your new companion.

Queenie is a quiet and gentle girl. She's a little shy with new folks, so she's going to do best in a home that's a little more low key, where she can feel safe and loved. She's lived with a dog, whom she tolerated pretty well, so she may be able to live in a home with a doggie friend.

She gets along with other gentle cats but might be happiest being your only feline so she won’t have to compete for your lap! If you have room in your heart and home for a laidback cat, please come and meet Queenie, who has been waiting for her own family since the beginning of September.

HSHV is open daily at 11 a.m. for adoptions. All pets available for adoption are spayed/neutered, up to date on their vaccinations, medically and behaviorally evaluated, and they have a microchip ID all included in their low adoption fee. Please make adoption your first option.

The Humane Society of Huron Valley,, located in Ann Arbor, was awarded the “Best Large Animal Shelter in Michigan” by the Michigan Pet Fund Alliance, for the second time in a row this year, for saving the most lives. HSHV is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and relies solely on donations from businesses and individuals to support our community programs.

HSHV is not affiliated with the Michigan Humane Society or any other humane organization. The mission of HSHV is to promote responsible and compassionate care of all animals in our community.
