The experts answer pressing questions about winter safety and pets
We all love to try and get outdoors with our pets, even in the wintertime. With the abundant snow this year here in Michigan, there's lots of fun to be had with dogs on walks, sledding outings. And believe it or not -- dogs ike to make snow angels! Nothing's more cute than watching an enthusiastic pooch wiggling about on their back with their tummy exposed.
It's true, pets have a real joie de vivre this time of year. But, the drying indoor climate, all of that outdoor playtime, and recently, brutal outdoor temperatures in the single digits can be daunting for our four-legged friends to weather: especially dry skin and paws that need special care.
Dr. Janet Figarra, DVM from Ann Arbor Animal Hospital offers great tips on how to help your pets get through the winter safely and comfortably, on this weeks' "Ask Your Local Expert" on our pets section. Check it out here.
