Haifa Falafel, Housed in a strip mall in Ypsilanti, this is a Middle Eastern version of Subway, where they custom prepare sandwiches at a counter in front of you. You choose between pita wrap or pita bread and then select your choice of toppings, ranging from romaine lettuce to pickles, carrots and tomatoes, along with five sauces. There are also other traditional Middle Eastern dishes, including hummus and lentil soup, and the restaurant's own, lighter version of its trademark falafel, clearly a specialty here.
