Lotus Thai. Located in the same shopping area as Target, the unremarkable exterior is in stark contrast to the contemporary restaurant inside, decorated in soothing earth tones, with walls adorned with traditional art and sculpture. This restaurant is the first opened in the U.S. "Food Work," which runs many restaurants in Thailand. Lotus Thai is high-end Thai food dining, providing a colorful display of traditional favorites with artful presentations. The sauces are the highlights, bringing tofu to life in a dish called tofu and taro, with a spicy sweet and sour peanut sauce. Lotus Thai provides many Thai standards, like pud thai, spring rolls, and a range of curry dishes. It also has more unusual offerings, like green papaya salad. The menu is extensive, with 10 appetizers, eight salads, five soups, 20 entrees, nine noodle dishes, four spaghetti dishes, along with 10 vegetarian options.
