Think Zingerman’s, on a smaller scale. Mike’s, a treasure located in the heart of downtown Chelsea, is a restaurant with a historic, old-time feel that prepares a huge variety of sandwiches (72, in fact) including vegetarian, beef, turkey, corn beef, tuna – even liverwurst. You can choose among eight different types of breads. There are also several side and main course salads as well as soups and chili. Baklava, cookies, brownies and cheesecake are the dessert offerings. Seats 40.
