Holiday Craft Shows bring a unique opportunity to buy local
Buy local is something that we hear more and more during the biggest shopping season of the year, and most Ann Arborites are well versed in the benefits of doing so. This year I am making a big effort to balance my craving to find the best price with my longing to support small businesses.
Here’s one great way to satisfy both: craft bazaars. Many local community groups and churches offer craft shows and fairs where local crafters and small name artisans exhibit their unique wares.
Our gift giving dollars are staying local, and generally, the prices are a bargain for these handmade one of a kind items you will find. The upcoming weekends are the perfect time to find them, and just in time for our holiday shopping. Here are a few to get you started, and be sure to check the Ann Arbor Events calendar for more during the month of December.
