Ypsilanti businesses plan promotion to encourage shoppers to buy local

Downtown Ypsilanti businesses have planned a weekend promotion to encourage area residents to do their holiday shopping close to home, the Ypsilanti Citizen reports.
The Ypsilanti Starlight Shopping Spree Friday and Saturday will include late shopping hours, carolers, pictures with Santa for the kids and a reindeer stable.

I HOPE there are some good pictures and stories coming up at AnnArbor.com on this event!! The downtown business people have worked hard to make this a big event....and two sentences are not sufficient!
