14 players contribute in Father Gabriel Richard's easy win, Saline tops Adrian and more results

By AnnArbor.com Staff

The Father Gabriel Richard boys basketball team had its best offensive output of the season Tuesday night, and nearly everybody contributed to the effort.

Fourteen out of 15 players on the Fighting Irish roster scored in an 84-58 Catholic High School League AA Division win over visiting Dearborn Divine Child.

Gabriel Richard, which held a comfortable 43-23 by halftime, shot 54-percent from the floor and made 26 of 35 free throws.

"(Free-throw shooting) is something we've really struggled with," Gabriel Richard coach Pete Schoch said. "We haven't gotten to the line this many times in a long time. And we were more successful tonight making them."

Josh Herbeck and Luther Page scored 12 points apiece for the balanced Fighting Irish, whose previous season-high point total came in a 65-62 win over Saginaw on Dec. 28. (Rest of the Story | Boxscore)
