Carlos Brown named Big Ten Player of the Week

By Dave Birkett

Michigan running back Carlos Brown shared Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors after rushing for a career-best 187 yards on 13 carries in Saturday's 45-17 victory over Eastern Michigan.

Brown, who averaged 14.4 yards per carry, scored two touchdowns against the Eagles. His 90-yard touchdown run was the third longest in school history.

Last week, quarterback Tate Forcier and return man Darryl Stonum were named Offensive and co-Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively, for their performances in Michigan's win over Notre Dame.

Northwestern quarterback Mike Kafka shared the offensive award with Brown this week. Penn State linebacker Sean Lee was named Defensive Player of the Week, and Iowa punter Ryan Donahue and Wisconsin linebacker Chris Borland shared the special teams honor.

How did he not get the touchdown of the game on Saturday? robinson's run was nice, but I still think Carlos and the offensive line should get their props for that run.

I don't know what bowl streak ended when Navarre played. And the rest of the post is incomprehensible gibberish.

Carlos or Tate will win the Heisman. And if Coach Carr would have started Jermaine Gonzalez instead of Navarre, the bowl streak NEVER would have ended. Now, with RichRod, Michigan is again and forever will be a NATIONAL player. Good-bye, Vest-dweeb. You got one NC (***************). MSU could very well run the table, with losses!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to Carlos. I wish him a long, healthy season. Hopefully, Brandon Minor can get over his nagging injuries and finish strong, too. These are two guys who really deserve better breaks from the "injury gods" than they have gotten so far.
