Charlie Batch, 6 others to enter Eastern Michigan Athletic Hall of Fame

Former Detroit Lion and current Pittsburgh Steelers backup quarterback Charlie Batch is among the seven people who will be inducted into the Eastern Michigan E-Club Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, Feb. 27, the university announced Thursday.

The seven: Batch, a former EMU quarterback; Denise Allen (women's basketball); Jerry Cerulla (men's track); Angela Johnson (women's track); Sharon McNie (women's gymnastics); Gary Patton (football); Gary Strickland (athletic trainer.)

The group will be honored at a ceremony and luncheon on Feb. 27 and introduced at halftime of the Northern Illinois-Eastern Michigan basketball game, which begins at 2 p.m. Tickets for the ceremony and luncheon cost $45 and be be purchased by calling 734-487-1866.
