The volleyball teams from Chelsea and Milan high school each lost opening-round matches in a Class B district at Chelsea on Tuesday.

The tournament host Bulldogs were swept by Lenawee County Athletic Association champion Ida (Story) while Milan's best season in 25 years ended with a 3-1 loss to Tecumseh (Story).

Two fresh Washtenaw County teams will get a shot at the Lenawee County winners on Wednesday night. Gabriel Richard plays Tecumseh in a 5 p.m. semifinal and Skyline faces Ida at 7 p.m.
