Dante Williams realized early on that he had the kind of height advantage that wide receivers dream about.

But if Huron High School didn't need to utilize it in order to win, the 6-foot-5 junior was OK with never touching the ball.

Turns out, he needed only one catch to make the difference.

Williams reeled in a 87-yard touchdown John Helvie touchdown pass with 2:40 remaining in the fourth quarter before Huron's defense forced a late turnover to hold off Dearborn in a 30-29 thriller Friday night at Riverbank Stadium.

"This was a real big game because we needed this game to go to the playoffs," Williams said. "We needed a big win and we got it."

But not without some late drama. (Story and Photo Gallery | Boxscore)

Two catches for him vs Bedford. All American? Good win for Huron, they needed that one.

I thought Huron was running something like the triple option. Usually, that doesn't lend well to throwing 87-yard TD passes. I wonder of Miller wishes he had chosen Huron instead of Pioneer tonight?
