That wasn't the case Wednesday night, as the Dreadnaughts defeated South Lyon 42-35 to lay claim to its first holiday title since 1999.
Despite the end result, coach Randy Swoverland was anything but pleased with his team's performance.
"I'm glad that we won and everything, but I'm not happy with where we're at as a team right now and how we're playing," Swoverland said. "I think that we just have a lot of areas that need improvement and we gotta do that quickly because our league schedule's coming up here pretty quick and we gotta get better in a hurry."
