Dwayne Priest scores 3 touchdowns as Eastern Michigan's football team tops Buffalo, 21-17
BUFFALO, N.Y (AP) — Dwayne Priest ran for a career-best 192 yards on 35 carries and three touchdowns to lead Eastern Michigan to a 21-17 win over Buffalo on Saturday in Mid-American Conference play.
The Eagles (2-9, 2-5) grabbed a 14-7 lead with 3:03 left in the second quarter after two 1-yard touchdown runs from Priest.
Marcus Rivers caught a 28-yard touchdown pass from Jerry Davis for the Bulls' (2-9, 1-6) only touchdown of the first half.
Buffalo pulled within four points, 14-10, thanks to a 30-yard field goal by A.J. Principe as time expired in the second quarter.
Priest scored on another 1-yard run in the third to give the Eagles a 21-10 lead.
Davis threw his second touchdown pass of the day — a 14 yarder to Ed Young — with 4:11 to go in the third, pulling the Bulls back within four, 21-17.
Davis finished with 222 yards passing and led Buffalo with 42 rushing yards.
Eastern is at home Friday for a noon game against Northern Illinois.

A good win, but remember this is against a BAD Buffalo team.

I'm happy for EMU. The wins under Ron English haven't come in bunches like I'd hoped they would. The progress has been slower than I thought it would be. I hope the coach is able to build a successful program. It was fun back in the 80's when EMU had some good football teams. I'm looking forward to the next time! Go EMU!
