Eastern Michigan baseball clobbers Oakland 17-1

Nine different pitchers took the mound for Eastern Michigan baseball team - each pitching exactly one inning - Wednesday night in the Eagles 17-1 drubbing of Oakland University at Oestrike Stadium.

Three Eagles (25-24) pitchers - Steve Weber, Tim Combs and Robert Wendzicki - went untouched, while winning pitcher Steven Young (2-1), Joe Battistelli, Jordan Glover, Neil Butara and Taylor Dimmerling each gave up one hit apiece.

Collin Taylor gave up two hits and surrendered the only Grizzlies (17-29) run.

Leading Eastern offensively were Zack Leonard (2-for-3, four RBIs), Brent Ohrman (3-for-5, 3 RBIs) and John Carrier (2-for-5, two RBIs). (EMUEagles.com story)
