Eastern Michigan football team is No. 105 in top-to-bottom ranking

By AnnArbor.com Staff

The Eastern Michigan football program moved up 15 spots and is No. 105 in the country, according to the annual preseason college football countdown compiled by the Orlando Sentinel.

Eastern, 2-10 overall last season, was ranked last of the 120 teams in 2010 after compiling a winless season in 2009. The Sentinel says the Eagles "should see a continued improvement this season if Alex Gillett continues his development at quarterback."

Eastern opens the season Sept. 3 with a home game against Howard.

I sincerely hope that the Eastern Michigan Hurons have just one winning season before I leave this earth. Right now the baseball team is beating up on BIG TEN teams which really makes me happy. No one has told the new baseball coach that he is "supposed" to lay down and lose to BIG TEN teams.
