Eastern Michigan lands swimmer from Freemont, Ohio
Swimming coach Peter Linn has worked for 21 seasons at Eastern Michigan. Before coaching in college he coached high school teams in Ohio. Those ties, apparently, still pay off.
Dexter Foos, a top swimmer at Freemont High School in Ohio, signed a letter of intent to swim for Eastern on Wednesday, The News-Messenger reported.
“Coach Linn knows our program and he knows how hard we train the kids," Freemont coach Phil Moran said.
Foos, the article notes, didn't start swimming competitively until eighth grade.
