By Kyle Austin

Eastern Michigan has parted ways with offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Ken Karcher, after a season in which the Eagles ranked near the bottom of the Mid-American Conference in most offensive statistical categories.

Karcher's departure was announced this week. An athletic department spokesperson declined to say if Karcher resigned or if his contract was terminated.

Karcher had been at Eastern since head coach Ron English was hired in December, 2008.

Eastern ranked 12th out of 13 MAC teams in total offense last season, gaining 335 yards per game as the Eagles went 2-10 on the season.

EMU also ranked 12th in passing offense, with 171 yards per game.

So the lousy season is all the AC's fault? Like whomever they bring in will turn the program around.

Who cares. EMU football program stinks. Always has, always will. ....and you're hearing that from a guy who is alumni.

Old news. Most EMU fans were aware of this several days ago. Again, proof that AA.com does not really cover EMU athletics.
