Eastern Michigan women's basketball team reaches third round of WNIT

Cassie Schrock scored 20 points and had seven assists as the Eastern Michigan women's basketball team topped UNC-Wilmington, 63-54, on Monday in second-round action of the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
Eastern, 24-12, was down 47-37 early in the second half before pulling away with a 35-point half. Eastern will travel to Syracuse on Thursday for a third-round WNIT game that will begin at 7 p.m.

It was a great game and it was a strange sight to see so much Maize and Blue in the arena but that game was the most fun at an EMU basketball game - mens or womens - since the 1990s we were happy to have U-M as our guests and hope everyone had a nice time!
