The No. 6-seeded EMU baseball team used a combined 5-for-8 effort from Jamie Simpson and John Rubino along with two RBI from Tucker Rubino and Brent Ohrman to edge No. 3-seeded CMU, 4-3, in the opening round of the 2012 Mid-American Conference tournament Wednesday, May 23, at All-Pro Freight Stadium.

EMU:Three Eagles Garner All-MAC Accolades

EMU senior Brent Ohrman and redshirt sophomore Sam Ott were named to the All-Mid-American Conference first team while Ben Magsig made second team All-MAC, the league office announced at the annual MAC Tournament awards ceremony at All-Pro Freight Stadium, May 22. It is only the second time since 2007 that EMU has put multiple players on the All-MAC first team.
