Eastern Michigan's Brandon Bowdry wins second MAC Player of the Week honor

Eastern Michigan senior forward Brandon Bowdry was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

It's the second time Bowdry has won the award this season and the sixth overall, according to EMUEagles.com.

Bowdry had a pair of double-doubles in the Eagles' two games at the Lou Henson Award Tournament played Dec. 20-21 at Oakland University.

He had 24 points and 10 rebounds in a 74-67 loss to Valparaiso and 22 points and 14 rebounds in an 82-63 win over Rochester College. In the two games, Bowdry shot 61.9 percent (13 of 21) from the floor and 90.5 percent (19 of 21) from the free-throw line.
