Eastern Michigan senior guard Tavelyn James was named the Mid-American Conference West Division women's basketball player of the week following her 38-point performance in a win against Michigan on Sunday.

James became Eastern Michigan's career scoring leader during the Michigan game. She also scored a team-high 19 points in an overtime loss to Missouri-Kansas City earlier this week.

It's the fourth time James has won the MAC player of the week award in her career.
