Curtis Granderson, the one-time popular Detroit Tiger turned New York Yankee, faced his old team for the first time in spring training on Wednesday, MLive.com reports.

Granderson went 2-for-3 and made a great catch in center field to rob Miguel Cabrera of a hit. And he's still adjusting to his new team and higher expectations.

From the MLive.com article:

Granderson has played in a World Series, scored the winning run in an All-Star game and landed on the biggest stage, but still finds himself in pinch-me moments with the Yankees. “Derek Jeter gave me a ride home from (a game in) Bradenton,” he said. “Do I call home and tell friends that I got a ride with him?” Granderson is moving from Royal Oak to Manhattan and into the clubhouse of the world champions. There are three sure Hall of Famers who are his teammates: Mariano Rivera, Alex Rodriguez and Jeter. And Mark Teixeira and CC Sabathia are on track for Cooperstown consideration.
