Flyovers are cool and so are emotional coaches

It was a pretty amazing flyover. They decided to fly a little faster than other planes have in previous games. It kind of took a lot of people by surprise. I really like the flyover. They're also a sort of recruiting tool for the military to find future pilots.

Take it easy there chosen1, not everything has to be about politics or taxes. Fact is, the pilots that fly those planes have to log a minimum number of hours in the aircraft. Those flyovers count towards that hour total. So in short, the gas would be burnt whether it was flying over Michigan stadium or the irish hills. It does not increase the money budgeted for flights in the slightest.

Flyovers are cool, but also a luxury item. It's not fiscally sound to use taxpayers money for these luxurious displays. maybe if each university had boosters or alums that wanted to pay for it, but not on the taxpayers' dime
