Jeff Genyk, who coached the Eastern Michigan football team from 2004-2008, was named special teams coordinator/tight ends coach for the University of California, the university announced Saturday.

Genyk, a Milan High School graduate, also was on the coaching staff at Northwestern for 12 seasons.
