Former Michigan swimmer Gustavo Borges headed to international hall of fame

Gustavo Borges, a 10-time NCAA champion at Michigan from 1992-95, will be inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Saturday, May 12.

Borges, a four-time All-American at Michigan, earned two Olympic silver medals and two bronze medals for his native Brazil. He currently lives and runs his a swimming school in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

According to MGoBlue.com, Borges will be the 19th Michigan-affiliated swimmer or coach inducted into the hall of fame, and the first since Tom Dolan in 2006.

The hall of fame's 48th induction class has 11 members (see complete list).
