Coming into the week, Willow Run's girls basketball team had been turning the ball over an average of 32 times per contest, and struggled to score even 30 points a game. Over the past two nights, the Flyers have turned the ball over just 12 and 14 times respectively.

The result of the ball control on Wednesday was a 52-25 win over Melvindale Academy for Business and Technology, the Flyers' first victory of the season and second time scoring over 50 points in as many nights.

"If you get turnovers, you're not getting shot attempts. The last two nights we took care of the ball, got the attempts, and we were scoring," said Willow Run coach Anthony Davis.

It didn't hurt that Kierra Rolax came within a rebound of a triple double with 36 points (career-high), 10 steals and 9 rebounds against Melvindale (1-5). Rolax also had 5 assists. (Rest of the Story | Boxscore)
