High school sports briefs

News and notes from around the Washtenaw County high school sports scene:

Huron, Saline volleyball holding breast cancer awareness night The Huron and Saline high school volleyball programs are holding a breast cancer awareness night on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Saline High School. Proceeds from the "Dig for the Cure" event will benefit the Susan G. Koman Foundation.

Freshmen and junior varsity games begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the varsity game. Donors will be entered in a prize drawing. Tax receipts will be provided upon request.

Huron seeking girls basketball coaches The Huron High School girls basketball program is seeking assistant coaches. Previous experience is required. If interested, contact head coach Steve Vinson at stevelanv@comcast.net.

MHSAA network coming to Greenhills The MHSAA Network (Comcast channel 900) television cameras and crews will be at Saturday's soccer game between Greenhills School and Auburn Hills Oakland Christian. The crew will produce Video On Demand highlights of the game.
