Skyline mounts comeback for OT win over Bedford; David Hendrickson's 33 propels Saline over Monroe and more
Theron Wilson's career-high 30 points led the Skyline High School boys basketball team to a 75-72 Southeastern Conference Red Division home win Friday against Temperance Bedford.
But with four minutes left in the game, victory looked slim for the Eagles (3-5, 2-2 SEC Red), who trailed by 11 points.
"Our pressure and student section really got to them (Bedford)," Skyline coach Mike Lovelace said. "We got it down from 11 to three (points) pretty quick. We had a shot to win it right at the end."
The Eagles, however, missed their chance to win in regulation and forced overtime, where Skyline was forced to play without two of their starters due to foul trouble and a minor injury.
