Dexter gets revenge on rival Chelsea with 38-37 win; Pioneer, Ypsilanti win in routs and more Thursday results

By AnnArbor.com Staff

The Dexter High School boys basketball team only had three players score, all of whom were seniors, in a 38-37 Southeastern Conference White Division win over rival Chelsea on Thursday night.

"We just wanted to end the seniors' last home game with a big win, and that's what we did," said Dexter coach Randy Swoverland. "We played hard. It was good to see our seniors, with all those close losses this year, finally pull one out."

Matt Muchmore and Dave LaMore combined for the majority of Dexter's points, scoring 18 and 16, respectively. Tyler Dunham chipped in four points.

With the win, the Dreadnaughts (9-11, 8-8 SEC White) avenged a 53-38 loss to the Bulldogs (13-7, 9-7 SEC White) on Feb. 4 -- a game Dexter coach Randy Swoverland said was his team's worst this season.
