Chelsea hockey rides hot start past Saline, Pioneer swimming sinks SEC foes and more Wednesday results

Lately, the Chelsea High School hockey team has had a knack for stringing together four-goal periods.

Heading into Southeastern Conference action with Saline Wednesday, the Bulldogs had recently scored four goals in the second period of a 5-3 win over Lincoln-Milan.

Chelsea followed suit by posting a four-spot in the first period against Saline, yielding an eventual 5-2 road victory.

"It was one of those periods were we capitalized on our opportunities," said Chelsea coach Don Wright, whose team was anchored by two goals from Dan Hudson and a goal apiece from Cody Johnson and Charlie Hess in the first. (Story | Boxscore)
