Dexter blockers lead the way to win over Huron in district semi final

By AnnArbor.com Staff

Dexter volleyball's blockers controlled the net and propelled the Dreadnaughts to a four-set win over Huron (24-26, 25-13, 25-16, 25-18) Wednesday in the Class A District tournament at Pinckney High School.

The Dreadnaughts' (39-15-6) front line was a noticeable force all night, disrupting Huron's ability to get into its system.

"Our blocking really set the tone and allowed our system to get us into a good rhythm," said Dexter head coach Erin Penn.

Huron head coach Toney Cummers agreed, citing the difficulty his team had getting into a rhythm after the first set because of the disruption caused by the Dreadnaughts' front line.
